Massively excited to be able to welcome the John Verity Band to The Coachworks in Ashford, Kent along with support act The Zac Schulze Gang. John Verity began his music career in the early 1960's, playing guitar in various local groups around his home town of Bradford, Yorkshire, until he was offered a full time gig with a pro band the ‘Richard Kent Style’. Soon gigging – sometimes twice a night, 7 nights a week all across the UK and Europe, the band became tight in the way that only a hard working band can. ‘My first band with a real rhythm section (Al Powell on drums & Harvey Rose on bass) that sounded to me, as good as the American records we tried to emulate. The band was a six piece complete with brass section, and soon in addition to the R&B material in the set there was some Chicago Blues to get my teeth into - amazing!’ By the spring of 1970 the Kent Style had morphed into ‘Tunnel’. Living and working in the US, doing prestigious support slots with many of the big names of the day including Jimi Hendrix (July 5th 1970 – 2 days after JV’s 21st birthday), Mountain, Canned Heat, Savoy Brown, and Janis Joplin. Very soon, Tunnel would morph into the very first John Verity Band, formed in Miami later that year. On his return to England in 1971, John secured a contract with producer Steve Rowland to record his first solo album for ABC Dunhill/Probe records, 'John Verity Band', which was released in the spring of 1973. John is pictured right, with Steve Rowland and Head of Probe records Dave Chapman at the signing of the contract. Whilst on tour promoting the album, JV was spotted by Rod Argent who was looking for new lead vocalist for his band following the departure of Russ Ballard. John eventually joined Argent late in 1973 and there followed a period of intense recording and touring until the band decided to come off the road late in 1976. Argent never did go back on the road, and decided to disband, at which point John became involved with various new projects both as Artist and Record Producer. First of all, along with Bob Henrit and Jim Rodford he formed Phoenix, which soon signed to CBS records. The original line-up recorded the first album and toured Europe before recruiting Ray Minhinnet to share the guitar-playing duties in time for the second album scheduled for release on Rocket Records. During this time Jim Rodford left to join the Kinks, and the line-up remained a 3 piece for the recording of In Full View for Charisma Records. John produced the Phoenix albums and co-produced the Charlie album ‘Good Morning America’ as well as the first Saxon album during this time, and decided to divide his time between sessions and record production whilst Bob Henrit teamed up with Jim Rodford once again by joining the Kinks. The next few years were spent in recording studios throughout the world, producing, playing guitar, or doing backup vocals with various acts including Motorhead, Tank, Ringo Starr, Russ Ballard, Colin Blunstone, Brian Connolly, John Parr, BowWowWow and The Searchers amongst many others, until late in 1981 when PRT Records MD Matt Haywood asked JV to record a comeback album. By now living in his native Yorkshire, John had built his own 38-track studio achieved by synchronising together 24 and 16 track tape machines - state of the art at the time, and had moved into full time record production. The Matt Haywood offer meant that JV could get back out on the road again to promote the album, and touring always seemed to bring out fresh ideas... "Interrupted Journey", released under the name Verity in 1982, was highly acclaimed in the UK, USA and Europe and successfully relaunched Johns performing career, as he once again took to the road. John was approached by many big name acts for recording and performing projects during this period - Mike Rutherford of Genesis wrote three songs for inclusion on JV’s next set of recording sessions, and both Keith Emerson and Greg Lake used John on their current recording projects. The next two albums "Truth Of The Matter" and "Rock Solid" were also well received, and John soon had offers to join various name bands including MSG, Ted Nugent, and Asia which he declined, deciding instead to come off the road to record an album with newly reformed Zombies. This project took the best part of a year and was mostly recorded at Mountain Studios, Montreux, Switzerland and finished in London... After a short break John was soon back on the road again with John Coghlan's Diesel Band (Status Quo), in the UK and Europe, before reforming his own Band for similar venues and recording here in the UK. In 1992 John decided to re-locate, away from his native Yorkshire to rural Bedfordshire and closer to friends from the Argent days. Since the move south the JV Band gigs have continued, with different line-ups chosen from a shortlist of fine musicians. At the 1994 Manchester Festival "Fender Stratocaster 40th Anniversary" concert, JV guested, along with many Rock Legends past and present including Sonny Curtis, Frankie Miller and Rory Gallagher. Johns performance of "Stay With Me Baby" was one of the high spots of the evening, bringing the capacity crowd at the Manchester Free Trade Hall to its feet! During this period JV also did vocal sessions for 3 episodes of the Granada TV series "Full Stretch", (1991) and another guest spot with the 'Strat Pack', for the Australia Day (1995) celebrations at the Hippodrome in London's West End. 2000 saw a major gigging project with a 32 date UK tour, opening the show on the Jools Holland Sex Jazz and Rock'n'Roll tour at major venues including Manchester Opera House, Birmingham Symphony Hall, and the London Albert Hall. After this, it was back to his regular gigging routine. Festivals across the UK and mainland Europe, recording and writing sessions keep the man busy. JV always said that live work was his first love and that holds as true today as ever. After playing the Cambridge Rock Festival in the summer of 2009 JV and the band went into the studio once more – The resulting recordings were released April 2010: VERITY – A Phoenix Still Rising... yet another stage in JV's amazing journey... The plan was for Phoenix to go back on the road, but things didn't quite work out so JV repackaged some of the tracks and added 3 new originals, to form 'Verity - Rise Like The Phoenix' instead. Back on the road the band worked solidly until mid-2011 when JV went back into the studio. This time the aim was to record some of John's favourite blues material - some of which goes back to the very earliest bands that he had played in. Bob Henrit, Steve Rodford, Mark Griffiths, Andy Childs and Keith Weir were asked to work on these tracks at different times during a busy few months to complete the album in time for release in December 2011. 'It's a Mean Old Scene' is Verity's strongest so far, and new dates are in the diary - early 2012 and the band is on the road again... first major date being the GB Rock & Blues Festival, which video'd successfully to provide a lasting record of this excellent gig... featured musicians in the JV Band for this one were Steve Rodford on drums, and bassist Mark Griffiths. 2012 was to prove a landmark year for JV in a number of ways - first of all a chance meeting with guitar guru Trev Wilkinsonduring which John impressed Trev with his ideas on guitar design, led to the development and release of the JV Signature model guitar. To give the guitar its full title - the 'Fret King Black Label Corona JV Signature model'. Whilst the guitar was in development, John was inspired to try to complete all the links in the audio chain, and together with amp specialists began work on an amplifier worthy of the JV stamp of approval. The finished amp was soon a fixture of John's live setup - an all valve (tube) design following traditional values but with just the ingredients needed to get the 'sound in my head' as JV is quoted saying, on trying the combination of his new signature guitar and amp. The final 'icing on the cake' in this search for the perfect tone is the specially voiced loudspeaker made to JV specification with the help of Paul Seago at Tayden Loudspeakers in the UK. 2014 found the band on the road as usual, interspersed with JV appearances to promote the JV signature products at music trade shows/ events, and the new album Tone Hound looks set to follow the success of It's a mean old scene, which charted in late 2013. Next up in 2014 JV went into the studio the record tracks for 'TONE HOUND on the road to Corona' and took this one on the road with the band, to an ever expanding group of followers across the UK. 2015 saw the band in the studio recording live for the 'Boske' album, an opportunity for JV, Bob Henrit and Bob Skeat to work together in the studio just laying live tracks down like in the old days!! Bianca Kinane added some amazing vocals, and Tom Wilson performed keyboard duties on this entertaining set. Fast forward to May 2016 and the release of 'My Religion'. Surely JV's strongest to date, with 6 of JV's own songs together with 4 of his favourite covers. For the first time in ages, this JV album is released on Vinyl - a double album with bonus tracks in a gatefold sleeve. 2017 looks like being JV and the Band's busiest year to date with shows across the length and breadth of the UK. As with 2016 the focus in the New Year will be on shows in the UK, in order to consolidate the progress made during the previous year. Any spare time will be spent in the studio writing/recording for the next JV album - "Blue to my soul", scheduled for spring 2018... Throughout 2018 & 2019 JV had 2 albums consistently featured in the UK album charts - "Blue to my soul" and and an EP, "Where's the love?", with the JV Band touring to promote them pretty much non-stop. 2020 brings a brand new album to celebrate the 50th anniversary of John forming the very first John Verity Band. "Passion" is released on CD and Vinyl, and once again the band will hit the road to promote it. Life is good!

The Cinelli Brothers is a project born out of a common passion for the electric Chicago and Texas blues from the 60s and 70s, when the two brothers, Marco and Alessandro decided to form an explosive team showcasing original repertoire in the style of Chess, Stax and Motown… Their first record “Babe Please Set Your Alarm” comprises original compositions as well as a few covers, such as ‘Chain of Fools’ or ‘Back Door Man’ – which stays true to Willie Dixon’s number, as well as Prince’s ‘Kiss’, in a remarkable shuffle rhythm. The Cinelli Brothers champion a new generation of passionate musicians sharing in the love of Blues, Soul, R&B and the true authentic sounds that have made the blues a cornerstone of music history. In 2018 Marco Cinelli was nominated best guitarist of the year. In 2019 “Babe Please Set Your Alarm” reached number 2 in the IBBA (Independent Blues Broadcasters Association) and Marco Cinelli was nominated best guitar player of the year by Music Republic Magazine. In 2020 and again in 2021 the band has been nominated for the UK Blues Awards as “Blues Band Of the Year”.

We are excited to announce an The Sean Webster Band at The Bourne Music Club on Thursday 11th February. Tickets are £15 each and due to cover restrictions are limited so are expected to sell out. A young Sean Webster's life dramatically changed when a friend introduced him to the likes of the music by the blues greats. The three Kings, Albert, BB, and Freddy, as well Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, Gary Moore and the primary reason for Sean playing the guitar, the legendary Eric Clapton. Sean's passion for guitar and his dedication to music since has continued to grow to an almost fevered obsession. That thirst for music has led to the creation of six studio albums and taken Webster on a touring life across America and Europe taking in many of the Blues-Rock scenes leading venues and festivals. Webster's instantly recognisable voice coupled with his heartfelt melodic guitar playing has become the feature on all his album releases. Both Webster's blues-inflected guitar licks and weathered soul shouter vocals are always passionately sung across tightly arranged songs. Music News had this to say about Webster's talents. "I haven't heard anyone with a voice like Sean Webster; it's a wonder that he isn't being hailed as a Blues superstar." Webster has never been one for following the latest trend, never bowing to blues purism standards. His heart is worn firmly on his sleeve, personal trials released in the form of song that creates his connection with his audience. A strong blues vein runs through Webster's original music, done so without sacrificing the need to retain a modern approach and sound. Thus creating such a likeable and listenable performer, deserved of repeat listens. Which brings us to the latest release 'Three Nights Live'. Every artist needs a definitive live album in their catalogue. Where the stars align, the right audience is present to inspire the performers, the right set of songs, the chemistry of the band members firing on all cylinders. 'Three Nights Live' is the culmination of those factors for Sean Webster and his band. Recorded over three nights in March 2019 'Three Nights Live' sees Sean and his fantastic band play their way through some of his excellent original material. Many of the songs performed taken from the critically acclaimed albums 'Leave Your Heart At The Door' and 'See It Through'. This live album would not be complete without a handful of Sean's exceptional cover performances. 'Three Nights Live' includes John Mayers' Slow Dancing In A Burning Room' and 'Til Summer Comes Around' by Keith Urban. Both beautiful renditions that showcase his incredible voice, an instrument capable of both power and delicate emotional expression. Sean's band following their band-leader through these songs and the rest of the performances with almost telepathic ability. To capture this audio lightning in a bottle, Sean enlisted the recording expertise of Superfly Studios and its resident engineer Andy Banfield. For the mix and mastering role, Webster called upon the award-winning 'House Of Tone's Wayne Proctor. From the opening count-in of 'Give Me The Truth' through to the final audience response of last track, 'You Got To Know' the listener is hooked and taken on many an emotional journey. The audience in attendance on those three nights knew they were listening to something truly exceptional. The performances were captured in all their glory, just as Webster intended; with himself and band playing their hearts out. Since the release of his debut album through to this latest live album, Sean Webster has built a solid reputation as one of the best live performers and singers of the modern blues-rock scene.

Delta Fuse are a three piece Cut-Throat Blues Rock band based in Northern Ireland. This is not to be missed! Tickets Only £12 each We are excited that we have Dan Burnett opening the evening. Dan Burnett is a world-class singer and multi-instrumental musician. It’s in his blood. He was spoon-fed soul, blues, funk, and rock music from an early age, and began learning to play after receiving a keyboard for his 3rd birthday. With his mother’s encouragement and father’s guidance, before his teens Dan was playing gigs throughout Yorkshire in his dad’s blues band – and from then on live performance became a way of life. Dan’s father (Laurie Burnett) was a hugely respected guitarist who, in addition to leading various blues/rock bands, toured and recorded with members of David Bowie’s ‘Spiders from Mars’ in a spin-off band called ‘U-Boat’. In his early teens, Laurie’s passion for music was helped along with guitar tuition from his good friend, the legendary Mick Ronson. Along with an average of 150-200 gigs per year, Dan is also a library music composer for film and TV. He has co-written and recorded music which featured on ‘Stolen’ (Nicolas Cage), and ‘Supernatural’ (USA TV series), among many others. ADVANCE TICKETS £10 EACH ANY REMAINING TICKETS £15 EACH The Bourne Music Club moves to Leo’s Red Lion in Gravesend to proudly present, In cooperation with The Rock Co-Operative, Sweet Crisis plus support from Trident Waters. Sweet Crisis is a contemporary Blues rock band in which the roots and the music run deep. Singer Leo Robarts and guitarist Piers Mortimer first met when they were kids in the early 2000s, and as Leo says, “This band is all about soulful, rock n’ roll.” Sweet Crisis were formed in Cambridge in 2015, and after a number of line-ups an album was recorded in 2018 but then discarded. “It was very frustrating,” Leo recalls. “We spent a year making that album, and then realized we didn’t like any of it. So we ditched it.” As Piers explains: “We knew we could do better. We needed to be true to our roots and play the kind of music we grew up on” The starting point was re-visiting albums they had ‘borrowed’ from their dad’s record collections: Free, Humble Pie, Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac, Zep and The Stones. Piers offers “We want to capture the vibe and spirit of the classic British rock bands we grew up on and still love so much. Killer riffs, soulful emotive vocals and great drum grooves. We’ve always enjoyed playing epic guitar riffs and Leo’s voice really inspires our songwriting.” Leo says “We’ve been guilty of overthinking things in the past, so we wanted to loosen up, capture a vibe and record ‘old school’. We needed to go out, play gigs and grab some studio time. Piers and I started jamin’, formed a new band, and then headed out on tour to Switzerland. We spent the days writing new material and getting high, and then every night played for hours in small clubs, trying out the songs on a different crowd. We arrived back in UK at 10am Monday morning, in the studio by lunchtime and by midnight we’d recorded 5 new tracks. We were fortunate to get Don Airey (Deep Purple, Whitesnake) to come in and lay down some Purpleesque Hammond Organ, and having Sarah Brown (Pink Floyd, Roxy Music) record some spine-tingling backing vocals was the cherry on the top!” TRIDENT WATERS 'Combining Terrorvisions pop-rock sensibility, Reef's bluesy grit and the vocal class of a Chris Cornell in waiting' Classic Rock Magazine 'Should put a smile on the face of anyone who appreciates Rival Sons at their dirtiest or Joe Bonamassa at his most fierce.' Wyatt Wendels, Planet Rock Ones To Watch 'This trio are power enough for anyone. Hollywood To Vegas finds this band nearing their destination' Fireworks Magazine 'I haven’t heard a band with this much groove since I discovered Crobot' Moshville Times Hitting your senses and coming at you like the offspring of a whisky drenched Led Zeppelin and Hawkwind, TRIDENT WATERS’ infectious groove and contagious riffery are sure to ignite. The Londoners will release their new EP, Hollywood To Vegas, on Friday 7th June. Prior to this, the trio have just dropped a brand new video for the single, Eva Lane - https://youtu.be/vqhcamyi3lc . The London-based threesome were born in 2015 and feature the aural talents of Andrew Knightley (Vocals/Guitar), Wilson Zaidan (Bass), and Greg Zaka (Drums). Taking inspiration from Rival Sons, John Lee Hooker, Winery Dogs, Albert King, and Joe Bonamassa, the band despatch an engrossing alternative-rock sound that is underpinned by edgy blues rock. TRIDENT WATERS are steadily picking up new fans and have already extensively played throughout the UK, sharing stages with genre legends such as Michael Schenker, Hawkwind, Shark Island and Procol Harum. In the over-saturated Rock world not many bands have the capability and musicianship to stand out from the crowd. TRIDENT WATERS achieve this very feat. Playing passionate, powerful hook laden tracks, they blaze a trail ahead of many of their contemporaries. Having previously self-released two EPs, Tales Of Conflict and Devotion & Seven, the groundwork is now in place for TRIDENT WATERS to propel themselves to the vanguard of the UK rock scene. The band’s new EP, Hollywood To Vegas, is the trio’s most accomplished work to date

ADVANCE TICKETS ONLY £10 REMAINING TICKETS £15 There was a time when the Jersey Shore represented the best in American entertainment. Count Basie, Lionel Hampton, the Rat Pack, Dick Clark, Chubby Checker, they all made stops on the Jersey Shore. Tony Mart’s was the club Levon Helm was playing when Dylan called. Of course we all know what happened in Asbury Park. The town, ravaged by riots in the late 60’s, became a melting pot of musical experimentation. Late night jams that ended when the sun came up were the norm. Bruce Springsteen & Southside Johnny were the two acts that made their way to an international stage from these humble beginnings. For decades musicians have come and gone, always hoping to make a living and pursue a dream. Billy Walton is no different. Billy’s proving ground was Long Beach Island. There he was chaperoned from gig to gig by his Mom, two young to drive around and enter the clubs on his own. He always was up for a jam and looking to learn some tricks. For years Billy spent his time sharpening his skills, developing his stage act until he decided to step up to center stage with the Billy Walton Band. The band has focused its’ effort in Europe. 13 tours since 2007 have established the group in the fertile British Blues Rock scene. In 2010 Billy got the call to join in with one of the masters of the Asbury Park sound, Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes. For years Billy toured with the Jukes. Most people don’t know that the creative force behind Southside was none other than Little Steven. A highpoint in Billy’s tenure with the Jukes was when they recorded a live version of Southside’s most acclaimed release, Hearts of Stone, with Little Steven. Good things have been happening to the Billy Walton Band. The band recently signed to Vizztone Records for the release of Wish For What You Want. Produced by Tony Braunagel, the award winning BMA producer and current Eric Burdon drummer, this batch of songs will certainly take the band to the next level! You can say Bruce Springsteen is a singer songwriter fronting an old-school rock n soul band. Southside Johnny is a soul singer fronting an old-school rock n soul band. Billy Walton is the guitar hero fronting the old-school rock n soul band. The horns are the common thread. Find out why so many people are getting excited about the Billy Walton Band! An evening with Stevie Nimmo. This will be a very special evening of experiencing the music 🎶 of Stevie Nimmo up close as we welcome him back to Sittingbourne’s premier live music club for an intimate evening of solo acoustic music.😎👍 As one half of Scotland’s highly respected ‘Nimmo Brothers’, Stevie Nimmo has been a well known and respected figure throughout the blues and roots world for over 2 decades. Now, having toured extensively with the critically acclaimed blues rock outfit over the last few years, as well as taking to the road in a stripped back, acoustic format to promote his debut solo project ‘The Wynds of Life’, Stevie is now in full stride with his full-on, electric, no-holds-barred trio format. Stevie says that, although the acoustic project is extremely satisfying and allows him to showcase his voice and song writing talents in the perfect environment, sometimes “…you just want to break out the Les Paul or strat, crank up the old orange amp and make some noise!” Which is exactly what he is doing. Stevie’s last cd ‘Sky Won’t Fall’ was released worldwide in 2016 on the Manhaton Records label and it was voted album of the year by many in the media and by his fans.

Jon rose to prominence on the British bues circuit in the early nineties as one of two guitarists in the trail-blazing blues band from Wiltshire, THE HOAX. The band toured the UK, Europe and North America before disbanding in 1999 with four successful albums and a string of awards to their name. Over the following decade, Jon went on to become a singer-songwriter in his own right, releasing two ground-breaking albums of self-penned songs with his band AMOR. Jon's 2006 release "Unknown Soldier" was endorsed by a guest appearance from the legendary Robert Plant. In 2011 he formed JON AMOR BLUES GROUP, a high energy, dynamic blues rock outfit that toured Europe extensively and produced two highly acclaimed studio albums. The reformation of The Hoax then brought two new albums to a grateful audience: 2013's "Big City Blues", a collection of originals written and recorded in California, and 2014's "Recession Blues: A Tribute To BB King". Amor can often be seen performing with THE BOOM BAND, an all-star British blues supergroup, of which he is a founder member. Late 2018 saw Jon release new album ‘Colour In The Sky’ to great reviews. We are lucky to be able to welcome Jon to play at Sittingbourne’s friendly neighbourhood blues club for an intimate evening of Jon and guitar for our first solo acoustic event.

Island born Robert J. Hunter combines his gruff and powerful voice with the wild thud of overdriven foot stomping blues guitar. His powerful and raw debut album, ’Songs for the Weary’, received blues chart success and critical acclaim and the single release, ‘Demons’, reached number one in the iTunes Blues Chart. ‘Before the Dawn’ followed late 2015 showing that Robert had matured and developed as a singer, songwriter and instrumentalist. Robert then released a solo acoustic album, ‘Where I’m From’ on independent Camden based label, Spiritual Records. Robert’s following album and fourth studio release, ‘The Robert J Hunter Band’ was released early 2018 and featured further iTunes number one singles, ‘Wait Your Turn’ and ‘Suzy’. Later that year they released a live album recorded at The Flying Circus, Newark. The prolific writer, Robert J Hunter’s latest single, ‘Good People’ was released January 2019 and focuses on the ever growing gap in classes of society and issues with homelessness on the streets in London. In 2017 Robert was a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition (ISC) with his powerful ballad, ‘Preacher’ which was chosen from 16,000 entries. Robert also found success being nominated for the UK Blues Challenge. The Robert J Hunter Band have supported the likes of Wilko Johnson, The Animals, Kris Barras Band and Sari Schorr to name a few. The band are regulars on the UK festival circuit, as well as Europe. This is a road worn, dirty blues band that have been honed to super tight perfection by sheer hard work and volume of shows

When The John Verity Band played at BTTB in January 2018, the event sold out as we reached the maximum capacity in our regular venue at The Ypres Tavern Function Room. Don’t be surprised when we sell out again! This will be another big night in Sittingbourne. John Verity, originally from Bradford in West Yorkshire, is perhaps still best known for his time as frontman in Argent from 1973 to 1976. Russ Ballard recommended John as his replacement, noticing he would be a 'good fit' after seeing the The John Verity Band supporting Argent whilst John was on the road promoting the first JV album. Prior to this he spent time working in the Bahamas and the USA which culminated with prestige support slots in 1970 for Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Mountain amongst many others. Fast forward to the later 1970s when, along with Bob Henrit and Jim Rodford (Formerly drummer and bassist with Argent) he formed Phoenix, which soon signed to CBS records. John also produced the Phoenix albums and co-produced the Charlie album ‘Good Morning America’ as well as the first Saxon album around this time. He decided to divide his time between sessions and record production, until late in 1981 when PRT Records MD Matt Haywood asked JV to record a comeback album. "Interrupted Journey", released under the name Verity in 1982, was highly acclaimed in the UK, USA and Europe and successfully relaunched John's performing career, as he once again took to the road. John was approached by many big name acts for recording and performing projects during this period -Mike Rutherford of Genesis wrote three songs for inclusion on JV’s next set of recording sessions, and both Keith Emerson and Greg Lake used John on their current recording projects. "Interrupted Journey" is still regarded as one of the breakthrough albums of the early 1980s and which prompted both a UK and European tour. In the many years that followed John received 'interesting' offers to join various 'name' bands but decided to go his own way with collaborations of his choice, both in and out of the studio. In 2015 John made a conscious decision to put his studio production duties, apart from his own recordings, to one side and concentrate even more on live appearances with his band; a fluid line up from a selection of musicians which include Bob Skeat (Wishbone Ash) when available and our regular drummer Liam James Gray. John Gordon (Bernie Marsden, Alan Price and more) and Roger Inniss (Laurence Jones, Blues Caravan, Hamilton Loomis, Joanne Shaw-Taylor, Elkie Brooks, Ruby Turner amongst others) on bass and Steve Rodford, drums (The Zombies) are amongst other musicians that regularly appear with John.Appearances at venues and festivals across the UK in 2016 and 2017 have consolidated John’s reputation as a ‘leading light’ in the ever growing armoury of today’s talented blues/rock musicians

Porcelain Hill is a high energy, Rock and roll band that perfectly blends blues, soul, funk, and punk. It's Music that plays to a live crowd, and tantalizes a recorded track. Heavy guitar riffs, thunderous drums, and a melodic bass line, Porcelain Hill is music you don't listen to, its music you feel. A good ol’ Rock band, one with an old school style, and a new twist. Now playing out of Ontario/Pomona, we Met in college and started jamming for a bit then decided to take different paths. Guitarist Darnell Cole was pursuing a solo gig, and drummer Nathalie Campos pursued several different bands. After a while we had a jam sesh and we knew instantly that the new music we made from our new life experiences was magical! Jacob Lucero joined up a little later after seeing Darnell jamming at a local guitar shop. After a couple of practices and a few open mics, the rest is history.

Passionate & intoxicating, Mike blazes his own unique trail - fusing his love and command of blues and roots music to create his own unique fusion. Since his re-emergence to the circuit in 2015 he has charged up the ranks to stand with the best known names in the UK roots rock and blues scene. A Monster Toned Space Blues Monolith! - Blues In Britain Born and raised in the Great North but living these days down in the Southland with a steady mind and a thoroughbred plan, Mike writes soul wrenchin', riff bustin' songs that will make you want to share the tale of his life's journey and the lessons he's learned. Burnt in Blues, Soaked in Soul! - Kerrang! This winding road leads from England to Europe before jumping the Atlantic to New York, detouring way down south to Memphis and New Orleans via Clarksdale Mississippi and Nashville Tennessee, soaking up every scent and sound along the way before fetching up on the shores of Sussex with a lifetimes worth of tales to share. This lad from the far North East has distilled the essence of the Deep South and West Coast of America - Blues In Britain Mike takes listeners on a uniquely detailed and image packed history tour of the history of the music of the music he loves to play, beginning in the Mississippi Delta at the beginning of the 20th century and finishing up right back in the present moment with his powerful emotive voice and intoxicating virtuosic guitar playing carrying you every inch of the way. Fuzzed up, fierce and full frontal fiery attack coupled with sexy, smooth slidin', southern soul! - Mojo Magazine To experience Mike playing solo or with the other members of his 4 piece band egging him on is to see why one reviewer declared him 'soaked in soul & burnt in blues'. Mike's first solo album, the Americana-tinged 'Spindrift' was released to critical acclaim and reveals an introspective side to Mike's songwriting and performing. Tracks such as the honest, plaintive southern 6/8 soul feel of 'Lazy' and 'Don't Worry Baby, Just Call #2' contrast with the driving fuzz of 'Ran Thru Here' and the outlaw imagery portrayed in 'Been So Long'. The album takes listeners on a visceral aural journey of the heartlands of American legend. Latest album “Jenny's Place” boasts a fuller and more muscular set of performances. The textures found here are thicker and sinewy, from the highway rolling 'Dakota Red' and the agonized blues of 'Dark Dowder' to the Petty-esque choruses and melodic structure of 'Jenny (Sun Goes Down)' and the bar-room swagger of 'The Big Picture' or 'Baby, I Love You'. Released 2nd March 2018 (with the first single landing a month earlier), bloggers and reviews alike agree that Jenny's Place is a career-defining record, described by one writer as "modern contemporary music, crossing and melding genres" and by another as “A classic 21st-century album full of 20th-century soul”. Press and radio support is strong with Mike continually receiving international airplay, particularly tracks like the latest single 'Jenny (sun goes down)', 'Dark Powder' (a brooding 12/8 minor blues) and 'Coffeecan Telephone'.

As one half of Scotland’s highly respected ‘Nimmo Brothers’, Stevie Nimmo has been a well known and respected figure throughout the blues and roots world for over 2 decades. Don’t miss this very special opportunity of experiencing the sounds of Stevie Nimmo in full action in Sittingbourne

Connor Selby has been a guitar and music fanatic for as long as he can remember - first picking up the instrument at around age 8. Since that day Connor has been honing and developing his craft for almost the entire duration of his life. Musically Connor takes inspiration from most of the British players that emerged in the 1960s citing Eric Clapton as his first and current major influence, putting particular emphasis on his output with John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers and Cream. Connor has also studied the guitar playing of other players such as Paul Kossoff, Gary Moore, Joe Bonamassa and of course, BB King, Albert King and Freddie King . Although blues based guitar music has been the most prominent style in terms of Connor's listening throughout the years his musical taste extends much further and deeper than just the blues. Connor's listening also includes a variety of Folk, Soul, R and B, Gospel and Country and Western including the music of Ray Charles, Donny Hathaway, Nick Drake and many others. Connor describes these artists in particular as having a huge impact on the way he listens to and thinks about music.

He has been playing since he was 11 years old and has travelled extensively on the US blues trail, meeting, amongst others, Pinetop Perkins, Willie Big Eyes Smith, Otis Clay and BB King. American Accent was one of the top 10 IBBA albums of 2016, and was the “Blues Is Back” Album of the Year, 2017. BluesMagazine.NL said: “Mississippi MacDonald is, despite the moniker, an English bluesman, and a guy with his feet, soul and spirit firmly rooted in the US southern blues music tradition. Joined here by US harp player, Steve Bailey, he has turned out an excellent, searing album that simply rocks and roars along from start to finish……one of those releases that come as a welcome surprise in an overcrowded blues music world these days, with genuinely top-notch writing, musicianship and grasp of just what makes a damn, fine release.” WA Blues Society: From the opening bars of “I’d Rather Be Blind, Crippled & Crazy,” which is performed as a tribute to O.V. Wright, Mississippi’s stellar vocals shine as do his guitar chops…….Mississippi seamlessly blends his blues with elements of R&B and country making for a unique sound. Very highly recommended” NEW ALBUM OUT NOW! STEVE BAILEY AND MISSISSIPPI MACDONALD: A TRIBUTE TO SONNY BOY WILLIAMSON

Bourne To The Blues are extremely pleased to be able to add an extra gig at our regular intimate venue of the Ypres Tavern Function Room in December, as we welcome Yoka & The Sugarbeats to Sittingbourne. This will be our very special party season gig with a very special band. Yoka & The SugarBeats bring their own brand of Soul & Blues – with a rhythm section begging your body to move, just the right amount of sweetness from the keyboards and guitar licks that make you want to grab your air guitar, it won't take long before you’ll find yourself on the dancefloor singing along to the powerful vocals of the sweet but demanding temptress that is Yoka. GET TO KNOW THE MEMBERS OF THE BAND: Yoka This Dutch Diva has experience in theatre, jazz, opera and blues, Yoka was the face of successful British Indie Blues Band "Little Devils" (2010-2016). Yoka is a charismatic performer with a big voice that easily adapts to different genres. A true story teller, she is known to take her audience on a journey full of laughter and the occasional tear. Yoka also adds occasional flute and sax to the overall sound and has been nominated in 2014, 15 & 16 for instrumentalist of the year in the British Blues Awards. Yoka's special skill is that she can play two recorders at the same time with her nose, which is a real and useful skill; she has seen a clown in Cirque du Soleil at the Albert Hall do it too..Yoka cries easily and can make herself cry just thinking about the fact she cries so easily. For the geeks: Yoka plays a Conn-Selmer PTS380 Premier Bb Tenor Saxophone and a Yamaha YFL311 Flute Big Ray Big Ray cut his musical teeth on the Belgian and Dutch Blues scenes, playing with a plethora of musicians both on bass as well as guitar. Upon his return to London, he joined Little Devils on guitar and went on to co-write their critically acclaimed album, The Storm Inside. Ray's favourite band is Pink Floyd. David Gilmour never wastes a note, every single one counts, he is the reason Ray started playing the guitar. If Big Ray could have a superpower he would like to be invisible for 'obvious reasons'. For the geeks: Big Ray plays his own hand crafted guitar with mahogany back and neck. Lacewood top and fingerboard. Bog Oak headstock veneer, Sperzel locking tuners, Tonerider Hot 90 pickups, CTS pots and Switchcraft selector with a Wilkinson trem. With as back- up guitars: Fender Strats (with Fender Custom Shop pickups in one and a set of John Benson's hand-wound-in-NY in the other) and a custom made, hard pine Telecaster (60s Tiesco Gold Foil in the neck, Seymour Duncan in the bridge) through a Fender Hotrod DeVille 2x12. His tone is only lightly coloured via a handful of modulation pedals. When unplugging, he'll either use his Guild or his Faith acoustic. To find out more about Ray's custom made guitars please visit www.qureshiguitars.co.uk Spencer Blackledge Is a full time self-taught 'leftie' with 25 years of gigging and recording experience playing up and down the UK and across Europe. Spencer is no longer allowed to come near any mic, his favourite joke: "Doctor, it really hurst when I lift my arm up?" Doc: "Don't do it then!" When asked what he'll do when he grows up he'll puts his fingers in his ears. In his spare time Spencer would like to be in a band. For the geeks: Spencer plays Gretsch and Pearl drums with Sabian And Zildjian Cymbals. Picture: Angel Images Andrew Papas Papas played guitar and keyboards in his school band, and has played pretty much continually with a variety of original and cover bands for the past thirty years - from prog to punk to funk to blues to rock. Now entirely focussed on keys, his influences are drawn from all musicians, across a broad spectrum of genres and eras, from Miles Davis to Ray Davies, from Chick Corea to Brian Eno, from Stevie Ray Vaughan to Walter Becker, From BB King to Carole King. Papas is also into all the technical stuff such as sound engineering, recording and programming. Papas can juggle and would like to have X-ray vision as a super power, bad manners and ignorance annoy him. The best decision he ever made was to pull the brake lever. For the geeks: Andrew has a collection of keyboards of various vintages, as well as a proper piano (of course), and currently uses a Korg SV-1, Korg M3 and a MicroKORG as well as a newly acquired Nord Electro 5 (which almost collapses the other three into a single instrument), all played through a Dynacord and Electrovoice backline. Andy Pullin Andy is a tight, rock-solid groover with a fluid technique that never stray's from the pocket. A full time musician, Andy uses chops and experience gained from playing in a multitude of blues, rock and cover bands, creating a style that is at home with a hard driven rhythm as well as a delicate soul mover. Andy would love to be able to fly and do gigs hovering above the stage to annoy Spencer.

The quality of musicianship is outstanding and in Matt Long, they have one of the greatest young guitarists on the scene today...' Blues Matters Magazine August 2017. ASH WILSON Drawn to the Blues music his parents introduced him to, (artists such as Muddy Waters, Son House, Eric Clapton and Albert King), It became obvious his ambition as a 14 year old was to become a great Artist like his heroes. Early in his career he co-founded East Midlands based Blues band The Melt aged 16. During the three years of touring and opening for such acts as: Walter Trout, Mountain, Doctor Feelgood and The Animals the band released there critically acclaimed “self titled” album. Voted “debut album of the year by Blues In Britain magazine” Showing Ash at the age of 17 was already a gifted guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. Ash in his early 20’s decided to join “DJUNE, featuring his Brother Phil Wilson, (Laurence Jones, Scott Mckeon, Sean Webster), on drums, Greg Smith, (Sean Webster), on the Bass and Robert Patchett on Guitar. After further crafting a rare and distinctive songwriting, guitar and singing skills he wrote and recorded tracks featured in films by “Wavelength” Europe’s biggest surfing magazine. These opportunities led to Djune performing with Ocean Colour Scene, The Kooks and Pigeon Detectives. After a break, Ash returned to being a live performer with alternative rock band Infamous Vampires. Co-founded with his brother Phil Wilson the band was created as a canvas for them to indulge in a darker setting and delve into a more complex place both lyrically and musically. The self titled album was released in May of 2014. Although the project was not a serious outfit it did see the start of Ash’s writing relationship with his brother Phil. In 2014 he became a full time member of the Sean Webster Band. Being a part of Sean’s band Ash, working both as a rhythm and lead player transformed Sean’s live set and the well received album “See it through” In 2016 Ash was asked to join, Jesse Davey's Big Blues Band, co-writing and singing the song “The Revalator" from the “Big Blues Album” Which came 3rd in the 2016 “best Album Category. The album also featured blues greats Hugh Coltman, Ian Siegle, Pete Gage, Scott Mckeon, Sam Bratley, Phil Wilson and Mark Barret. With all this outside activity, Ash has never written a solo album. But while honing his skills as a guitarist, songwriter and singer, he stockpiled ideas and songs he'd written for himself as well for Sean Webster, The Melt and Jesse Davey. He selected songs and co-written songs with his brother for his Debut solo album Broken Machine. Since 2015 in the year following his daughters birth Ash’s influences of life journeys and reflections manifest themselves in Broken Machine’s message and soul. The release of Ash's debut album features Phil Wilson on drums (Jesse Davey, Laurence Jones), Roger Inniss on Bass (Chaka Khan, Laurence Jones) and Bob Fridzema on Keys (KING KING, Dana Fuchs) Also appearing on Broken Machine is Jesse Davey (The Hoax) on the song "The Hitcher”, is a watershed achievement for Ash Wilson both in terms of the many musical styles in the tracks, which begin and end with the blues at its core, with the explorations and growth of him as a singer, songwriter and guitarist. Resulting in the spiritual growth expressed through the medium of his music 2018 has seen Ash performing guitar duties for soulful blues rocker, from Brooklyn, Sari Schorr and the chance of Ash returning to Sittingbourne, with his band, in November is guaranteed to attract a lot of attention
